Perum Perhutani, the Indonesian Forestry Commission has a line in the northeast Central Java area, between Cepu and Blora, for the haulage of teak logs out of the forest to the mill at Cepu. These days, most of the haulage are done by trucks, but the railroad line is still used, at least for tourists.
The line rosters 3 BMAG 0-10-0Ts, 2 DuCroo & Brauns 0-6-0T, an ex-State Railroad C2902 (0-6-0T) and a Ruston & Hornsby diesel. In addition, another 0-10-0T is preserved in the Jakarta Perhutani HQ.
In July 1998, Rob Dickinson (see the Javanese Steam Locomotives website) with several others, including myself, went there and ran a steam special with "Bahagia", one of the 0-10-0Ts. We had several photo run-bys. Here are the pictures from the trip:
